SciDataCon and International Data Week, 11-16 September 2016
SciDataCon 2016 seeks to advance the frontiers of data in all areas of research. This means addressing a range of fundamental and urgent issues around the ‘Data Revolution’ and the recent data-driven transformation of research and the responses to these issues in the conduct of research.

SciDataCon is part of International Data Week which also includes the 8th RDA Plenary and an International Data Forum. These complementary components mean that you can participate in a research conference and RDA working sessions in the same week! This will be a landmark event for the data community and for all professions with a stake in the role of data in research: whether from the perspective of researchers, data scientists, data managers, research policy experts etc.

These extensions have been made in response to specific requests, not least to allow people the opportunity of discussing session proposals at a number of forthcoming conferences.
