Observatory initiatives are a recognition that there now exist (and we are in
a period of rapid growth) data (pixel) and information holdings in
distributed locations and in diverse forms that could be serving the
scientist much better than they are.

integration of these sources.

This involves
distributed datasets, grid computing, data intensive computing, querying of
massive databases
|

Multiwavelength
|

The ultimate
value of the CFHT LS will be realized when it is combined effectively with
data and info sources from other wavelengths.

CFHT LS will
emerge as the standard optical wavelength data source because it is of higher
quality than other existing sources.
|
|
CFHTLS will
continue to have value for decades.
