Share and management of tremendous amounts of spatial data
and spatial models through internet has been a hotspot and difficulty problem.
At present days, Web Services and UDDI (Universal Description,Discovery and Integration) as Web Services’ source
intermediate, have been the core for Web software architecture and the mainstream for Internet
service. These one are among the most superior solutions in share of spatial
data and spatial models. This paper summarizes the mechanisms of Web Services
and UDDI, encapsulates the spatial data and spatial models according to Web
Services development criterion, and then registers and publishes these Web
Services on the internet. Meanwhile, it constructs UDDI as service intermediate
for spatial data Web Services and spatial models Web Services, which completes
call and integration of varieties of spatial data and spatial models developed
according to criterion through the internet. In this way, spatial data and
spatial models can be shared, discovered, and managed on the internet. At the
end, the data base and model base of Spatial Decision and Support System (SDSS)
based on Web Services are designed and implemented, which proves this method is
feasible and superior.
