Biological information data is made up of various types of databases due to their different and complex formats and properties. Therefore, users who want to get information from biological databases have trouble to connect to each site offering data and/or to search some information in a way the site provided. In this paper, we tried to design the integrated retrieval system that users are able to get information from a lot of heterogeneous databases such as Genbank (genomic sequence data), PDB (proteomic data), PIR, Swiss-Prot, and NDSL (National Digital Science Library) Database by one query in order to reduce these difficulties. This integrated retrieval system will settle the problem that users have to search information by connecting to various sites, and at the same time, contribute to bioinformatics researchers analyzing numerous search results to get more effective results.
